Lake Somerset Holiday Park

  • Cost: Unpowered Sites $18/site/night for 2 People (powered sites also available)

  • Location: Queensland, Australia - 10km South of Kilcoy.

  • Facilities: Flush toilets, Showers, Kiosk

This was our first adventure so we wanted to go somewhere that had some facilities.

It is a beautiful lake with plenty of room, there are no set sites so early arrival is advisable to pick a good spot. Although it is a very large camp area so you can stillget decent spots whenever you arrive.

You can camp under the trees, right on the lakes edge or on grassed area's a bit further away, however you'd never be more than 100m at most from the waters edge and there is a designated family camp area.

We really loved this place and it is great if you have a little tinny for fishing (although we haven't caught a fish - this could be due more to our skill or lake there of than the lake) or enjoy water skiing. It is definately a great spot to camp with young kids and the kiosk is very handy if you forget some basics.
